Adrian Credit Bureau The records are broken! In 1962, Mr. Barden (our President's father) had set a goal of collecting $3,000 for the month of April-which would have put him on easy street. Well times have changed and we are proud to announce that in April, 2002 we broke our record of the highest amount collected in one month-not to give it away but it was real close to $1 million! Thanks to our staff who all make it possible. The sister of Mercy LOLA man was brought to Mercy Hospital, and went in for heart surgery. The operation went well, and as the groggy man regained consciousness, he was reassured by a Sister of Mercy waiting by his bed. "Mr. Napoli, you're going to be just fine," the nun said while patting his hand. "We do have to know, however, how you intend to pay for your stay here. Are you covered by insurance?" "No, I'm not," the man whispered hoarsely. "Can you pay in cash?" "I'm afraid I can't, Sister." "Do you have any close relatives, then?" "Just my sister in Chicago," replied the man, "but she's a spinster and a nun." "Nuns are not spinsters, Mr. Napoli," the nun replied. "They are married to God." "Okay, great" the man said with a smile, "then send the bill to my brother-in-law." Tree City Credit Conference Hosted By Ann Arbor Credit Professionals Inc. She has been offered an internship at Michigan State's Vincent Voice Digital Library and Ford Motor Company Corporate Archives. Jennifer is very excited about her new opportunities and we wish her all the best. This also allows us a chance to introduce her replacement, Gail Christopherson who brings many years of expertise to the position. Please join us in welcoming her and wishing Jen good luck in her new endeavors. To help with Gail's introduction we asked her to give us some details about herself so that we can all get to know her better. "Girls are made of sugar & spice"Congrats to our bookkeeper in the Jackson office, Misty Brzezinski, for the delivery of a bouncing baby girl on April 15th. We wish her and her mom all the best in their new endeavors -- and there will be many! How much is too little?Did you ever wonder why you occasionally get a check or a bill from us for a small amount and think "why do they bother for such a small amount?" When it comes to very small checks, we are required by state licensing law to remit all monies to clients regardless of size. More importantly, do you really want someone else deciding how much of your money is too little to bother sending you? I do not. Our bills for small amounts are different in that some services, like pre-collect, can be as little as $2.50. Sure, we could require you to prepay for some products, but the ease of using our service is important to you. Secondly, the dynamic nature of payments coming to your offices and ours can result in one of us owing the other a small amount. Prepayment of precollect services is helpful and economical and it saves all of us time and money. So, when you get small bills or checks from us, there is a practical reason why. Your deposit or prompt payment is appreciated and helps us keep our prices down. Thank you again for your patronage. Bob Barden, President |
