Collector Skills Put To The Test...
AND THEY SCORE BIG!

For the last two months our collectors have been in a head to head competition to prove their collection techniques. Since March 1st, we have been playing “Collector Poker”. This contest, designed to promote team energy and performance with a subtle twist of luck, awarded playing cards to each collector who was able to out perform the entire team in several production categories.

Each week we awarded cards to the collector who applied their skills and was able to obtain the most payments in full, or perhaps the highest payment for the week. We also had categories for the highest performance on our virtual attendant power dialer and the most payments taken over the phone. At the end of the contest all the collectors played their cards for the best poker hand.

It came down to two full-house hands with the runner up Jon who was awarded $150 cash, and our “Grand Prize” winner Misty who celebrated with $500. The competition was fierce and at times the winner for the week just barely edged out several of the team members. With the positive energy and desire to win our team was able to exhibit for sure everybody was a winner with this game.

As an interesting side note, along with the collector contest we conducted a support team player of the week award. Our entire staff was eligible to be nominated by their fellow workers for the person who exemplified the greatest support to the office. We had team members who were going above and beyond their scope of efforts all in the interest of wanting to help each other out. The fun came each Monday when the support team player of the week was honored with $40. The prize was $20 cash and 20 chances to win up to $6000 in instant lotto tickets.

Unfortunately we didn’t have any $6000 winners but several of the members walked away with instant cold cash. We all had fun playing “Collector Poker” and “Support Team Player of the Week”, indeed it was a blast of fun at work!

Running Behind!

Are you one of those people who feel that the farther you get, the farther you fall behind? Unfortunately we have become a society without enough time in a single day. The problem with pushing your accounts receivable back day after day is that they begin to age and with age comes a lesser chance to collect. Your average recovery rate over time is as follows:

3 months .95 on the dollar
6 months .80 on the dollar
9 months .55 on the dollar
1 year .40 on the dollar
2 years .05 on the dollar

Remember this the next time you go to push those accounts to the side to work on tomorrow!

Don't Miss It!!!

"The sooner the better!” “It's a must for the complete collection process!” “Very informative and useful information” “Highly recommended!” “Excellent presentation with plenty of opportunity to ask specific questions and a very nice booklet to take away for reference!"

These are just a few of the comments we received on our March 17, 2004 Collection Skills seminar. For all those who were unable to attend, we have set our fall seminar date for October 22, 2004. With this much notice, we are hoping you will be able to set your schedule at a early date and join us for four hours of information that will help you every day for years to come.

Please call us at 800-710-4821 to register or with any questions you may have.
